• Capacity Building Community Forums - The enhancement and development of community forums through the delivery of workshops, training and information packs. The project will address some key challenges such as; more inclusive and welcoming community forums; greater incentive for people to attend and meetings that are competently chaired and organised.
• Tackling Financial Exclusion - To improve the quality, integration and effectiveness of a range of public and voluntary and community services for the growing number of people facing financial exclusion. The project will map and measure financial products across the county; identify groups not reached by conventional approaches and seek out better ways to reach these; develop and implement services contained in a financial exclusion strategy.
• National Graduate Development Programme - The Recruitment of a National Management Trainee from the National Graduate Development programme to gain experience working in a unitary and district council. There are a range of benefits associated with the project including the recruitment of quality staff with leadership potential and the capacity to modernise and improve services and service delivery.
• Managing Performance for Better Outcomes - The main aim of this project is to commission the Audit Commission to develop and run a series of workshops to help local authorities and their partners in Derbyshire improve performance management within the partnership and within their own organisations. The workshops will be followed up with a report which will outline recommendations for the partnership.
• Tackling Alcohol Related Issues In Glossopdale - This project will be enabling better communications between partner organisations.
• Member Development - The project will further enhance partnership working and cooperation between the 3 authorities. The three joint LAs have comprehensive communication platforms in place and a joint group. There is an enthusiastic well established Joint Member Development Working Group. The three LAs all have officers designated to Member Development and a high take up of Personal Development Plans.
