  • Shared Intelligence Project & Customer Insight Service - This project supports the development of shared intelligence networks which aim to share local, regional and national information and intelligence effectively, acting as the definitive local information system. Alongside this, there will be a focused effort on the development of a Customer Insight Service, utilising Mosaic software. Bringing together intelligence will help inform service delivery and potential improvements. A direct pilot from this shared intelligence will be to use the intelligence to target Council Tax and Housing Benefit take up.
  • Elections: Improving Turnout - Engagement of media consultants to assist in developing a strategy to improve voter turnout across Nottinghamshire three year strategy. Year one to prepare, co-ordinate and management of a countywide campaign up to and including polling day for the European Parliamentary and Nottinghamshire County Council Elections. Development of strategy for years two and three.
  • A Common Approach to an Integrated First Point of Contact for the County - The drawing together of existing plans and clarifying aspirations of contact and wider ICT infrastructure. A number of work streams will: (1) report on the county's common approach to integrated first contact supported by appropriate customer and ICT standards, (2) delivery of improved joined up working through mapping out key life events to ensure that whoever, wherever customers contact, they get the right information each time, (3) develop a standard approach to capturing and reporting on NI 14, (4) develop a common ICT infrastructures and aligning strategies, policies and standards and procurement of software solutions.
  • Housing Benefits Appeals Support - There has been a noticeable increase in the number of appeals made against benefit decisions. This project will provide a support service to all partners that do not have the capacity to prepare cases for submission with the future vision of building a centre of excellence in case preparation. The use of trend analysis will inform process and procedure reviews that may reduce the level of appeals in the future. This will be achieved through the employment of a dedicated resource based at Newark & Sherwood.
  • Member Development / Achievement of member Charter Status - Provision of additional capacity for Nottinghamshire Authorities to achieve Member Charter Status by March 2011. Achieved through the employment of a dedicated resource on a 2 year contract to work closely with an appointed consultant such as IDeA or LGEM, to identify training needs and to deliver member training across Nottinghamshire.
  • Nottinghamshire Capacity Building Project - Provision of resource to develop partnership working, exploring how the County, City and District LSP's can work together on shared outcomes. Primarily this will be used to develop and support the newly formed Joint Partnership Development Group and undertake mutually beneficial work identified through that forum.
