Lincolnshire County Council have refurbished eight secondary school dining halls to eradicate queues and support catering staff to produce fresh, healthy food and encourage more children to eat in schools. The work has been carried out by Robert Woodhead Ltd, through an empa minor works framework, see details below:

Formed by local authorities in the East Midlands, empa's role is to improve the delivery of property services;providing guidance on best practice and efficiency savings.

The East Midlands Property Alliance (empa) has been formed by Local Authorities in the East Midlands to improve the delivery of property services to their communities. empa is tasked with providing best practice and efficiency savings to the local authorities for construction and related services. As at October 2009 twenty-eight East Midlands local authorities are members of empa.

Set up following the publication of the National Improvement and Efficiency Strategy by Communities and Local Government (CLG) in December 2007 Regional Improvement and Efficiency Partnerships (RIEPs) support councils and their partners to work collaboratively, accelerate efficiency gains and drive improvement.
