Procurement in Lincolnshire: Innovative P_Cards System Generates over £1 million in Savings

Procurement Lincolnshire has devised an innovative Purchase Card (P-Card) system making it one of the first, and potentially one of the largest, procurement projects of its kind. More than 1,000 cards are being used across the region, and 600 people have been been gained since 2007. The scheme has already led to efficiency savings of £1,019,148 and an average saving of approximately
£26 per purchase.

Corby Borough Council, and partners, have been awarded a Green Flag by the Comprehensive Area Assessment (CAA) for recovery and rejuvenation in the town following One Corby approach to regeneration and service delivery adopted in 2004.

 

Derbyshire County Councils's journey for reducing motorcycle accidents

Recognition for reduction in motorcycle accidents across Derbyshire
Derbyshire County Council has been awarded a Green Flag by the Comprehensive Area Assessment (CAA) for its outstanding work for reducing motorcycle accidents in the county. In 2007, a third of all road users ‘Killed and Seriously Injured' (KSI) in Derbyshire were motorcyclists; following a focus on prioritising motorcycle accidents through ‘operation-focused' activity, in 2008 this figure was reduced by 32% to 127.

 

Nottinghamshire gets people on board!
