Mansfield District Council leaps into action with the new Equalities Framework

Following Mansfield District Council’s Comprehensive Performance Assessment (CPA) in 2003, Equality and Diversity was considered a key area for improvement and immediate action was taken to address this, incorporating equality targets into the Corporate Plan aiming towards achieving Level 4 by 2009. With this goal successfully achieved the Authority are now aiming for ‘Excellent’, against the revised Equality Framework.

An innovative community venture has enabled Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service (DFRS) to improve services by generating significant savings, reducing fire-related incidents and increasing safety whilst forging, and sustaining, strong relations within the Cotmanhay area.

 

Leicestershire County Council takes Positive Action

Notts Bothered - Inceasing Voter Turnout

‘Notts Bothered’ is a partnership between the Nottinghamshire County Council, Nottingham City Council and the seven District Councils in Nottinghamshire. The aim of the project was to develop a three year strategy to improve voter turnout throughout Nottinghamshire, targeting young people in particular.
