The primary aim of the EM LawShare partnership is to ensure that participating authorities receive a considerable reduction in the hourly rate charged by private sector firms.

EM LawShare also includes provision for the four framework external partners to provide for the training needs of all of the authorities legal teams, for a significantly reduced fee. The partnership has facilitated the sharing of good practice amongst authorities through a small representative working group. The development and use of the secure website enables partners to access and share resources. EM LawShare has currently delivered £4m cashable savings in the first three years primarily through the reduction of fees charged by private sector firms.
