Resilient Places: Sustaining Services in Challenging Times

Location: The Belfry Hotel, Sutton Coldfield, B76 9PR

Event date: 04 Nov 2010 - 05 Nov 2010

If you are responsible for environmental services, economic development, planning or highways and transport, you are facing unprecedented environmental, economic and political pressures to provide the services that the public wants.

ADEPT (the Association of Directors of Environment, Economy, Planning and Transport) - formerly CSS - is organising its national conference to help you to deliver what the public, and the Coalition Government, expects from you.

The event will focus on the current challenges facing local government in providing increased resilience and sustaining front line environmental and transport services bearing in mind:

- The move to a low-carbon society
- Expenditure limitations
- The impact of the Spending Review on front-line services
- The demand for localism
- The need to protect transport assets

Who Should Attend?
The conference is for Local Government portfolio holders and opposition spokesmen, directors with responsibility for Environment Services and senior people from their contractors and suppliers, and should be of particular interest to those with responsibility for all or any of the following:

- Economic Development
- Highways Management
- Spatial Planning
- Transport Planning
- Waste Management
