Performance Management Benchmarking

Developing customer insight and research capacity: what next?

Location: Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club, Trent Bridge, NG2 6AG

Event date: 25 Nov 2010

Catching up with the East Midlands Customer Insight and Research project.

Effective use of customer insight can improve services while making efficiency savings. Policy and practice should be based on sound evidence. This is the theory, but what is the reality? Is insight and intelligence valued and developed or, as cuts in public expenditure begin to bite, will it be viewed as an expendable luxury? How are partners in the region making insight and intelligence work for them? And how can progress continue to be made in tough times?

This facilitated workshop will look back over the progress made by the East Midlands Improvement and Efficiency Partnership
sponsored Customer Insight and Research project to date: reviewing the current state of play, promoting skills development,
and supporting applied customer insight in re-engaging young people in education, employment and training. The workshop will
consider next steps and in particular explore how a legacy from the project could be sustained.

Presentations from the day:

Jo Herlihy - Nottinghamshire County Council
