Aims:
A regional multi-agency conference to inform of the lessons learnt from Serious Case Reviews and how multi-agency reviews can improve outcomes for adult safeguarding. To include a proposed model for undertaking Serious Case Reviews developed in Leicestershire.

Participants:
The East Midlands Adult Safeguarding Boards are invited to nominate 12 people from strategic and operational safeguarding adult leads in local and authorities and partner agencies, Safeguarding Board Chairs and Lead members.

Programme:
A combination of key note speakers and interactive workshops to include:

• Dr Margaret Flynn, Independent Safeguarding Consultant and Editor of the Journal of Adult Protection
• Dr Nigel Chapman, Coroner, Nottingham City Council
• Professor Jill Manthorpe, Professor of Social Work , Kings College, London Presentations and workshops to include:
• Media Management within Serious Case Reviews
• How Serious Case Reviews have influenced practice changes
• Involvement of service users and families within Serious Case Reviews
• Capacity, self‐ neglect, refusal of services
