In association with APSE (Association for Public Service Excellence), East Midlands Improvement & Efficiency Partnership is offering workshops for members who want to find out more about the new government White Paper-"Equity and Excellence" -
Liberating the NHS

These awareness sessions are for anyone interested in the transfer of health improvement to local authorities and what this means for elected members.

They will include the wider role of Scrutiny in:

- driving up standards and performance
- accountability
- challenging areas of potential weakness
- and how this is relevant to the new legislation

The workshops will be informal and interactive to maximise learning through case studies/tasks and to encourage networking from participants.
