Event overview
One East Midlands and East Midlands Councils invite local government partners to attend our 2011 Spring Partnership Conference
In May 2010 David Cameron announced:
"We want to give citizens, communities and local government the power and information to come together, solve the problems they face and build the Britain they want. We want society - the families, networks, neighbourhoods and communities that form the fabric of our everyday lives to be bigger and stronger than ever before."
If the Big Society is to become reality then it is essential that the VCS and public sector can work together to engage communities and individuals in shaping and delivering better public services - but how?
