Understanding customers and communities: an introduction to segmentation

Location: Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club, Trent Bridge, Nottingham NG2 6AG

Event date: 23 Mar 2011

A FREE half-day seminar introducing different approaches to segmentation

Segmentation is a technique for developing customer insight. It means dividing a population into groups according to common characteristics, behaviour or attitudes. Segmentation models can then be used to target resources, tailor services and inform communications.

This free half-day seminar will introduce the concept of segmentation, provide information on a number of different segmentation models and give examples of how local authorities and their partners are putting these to use. It will also provide valuable information on what to consider when selecting a demographic segmentation tool.
