Following its meeting in late November 2010, the EM IEP Board have agreed that regional improvement and efficiency work should continue. The Board agreed that a small team located with East Midlands Councils will continue to progress the work of EM IEP using a small budget created from regional and sub regional under spending. The areas of business to continue are: improvement, efficiency, productivity, climate change and procurement. This is very positive news for authorities in the region and means that we can all continue to meet the challenges of government cuts head-on.

A word from the EM IEP Chair
At its meeting on 6th March 2013, the Board considered future proposals for Board support to sector-led improvements and transformation from 1st April 2013. Members agreed to refocus the Board's work on a limited number of strategically important issues to the sector, including sector-led improvement in adult social care and a bi-annual corporate review in conjunction with the LGA. Therefore, with effect from 1st April 2013, all future information relating to the Board and any projects going forward can be found at http://www.emcouncils.gov.uk/Improvement-and-Efficiency-Partnership
