LGA Group launches Local Government Workforce Strategy 2010

The LGA Group launched the Local Government Workforce Strategy 2010 on Wednesday 28 April.
The strategy, first developed in 2003, has been updated and developed to reflect the changes in the economic and political environment. The LGA Group has taken on board the comments councils made in over 80 written consultation responses, and in consultation meetings, as well as the comments from regional bodies.
This strategy:
- sets out the LGA Group's priority national actions for tackling councils' critical shared workforce issues
- provides a framework for councils and for regional bodies to review the actions they are taking to address their most important workforce challenges.
