EM IEP Regional Improvement and Efficiency Programmes 2008/11

EM IEP Regional Improvement and Efficiency Programmes 2008/11

In May 2008 the EM IEP Board approved that 30% of the EM IEP’s core funding would be allocated for regional wide programmes and 70% to the five Sub Regional Partnerships.

In addition a number of regional programmes have been developed using additional ring-fenced funding from the government and partners. The definition of region wide programmes is that all councils or large groups of councils would benefit from the roll out of specific improvement/efficiency programmes or projects.

The regional programmes have been set in the broad context of the New Performance Framework, of efficiency, service improvement, sustainability, equalities, empowerment and economic development.

The Member Champions have developed their regional programmes with the support of steering groups of officers, councillors and stakeholders from across the region before being submitted to the EM IEP Board for approval.
