Shared Services / Collaboration

Shared Services / Collaboration

Shared services and collaborative working are an increasingly common feature of the landscape in the East Midlands, ranging from established multi-agency services to embryonic single service collaboration. In addition to funding numerous sub-regional projects, EM IEP is working with Shared Service Architects to provide a series of training courses and events as well as establishing a regional Practitioner Group to share lessons and develop skills in this vital area.

Currently two different one-day seminars are available:

The 'Highway Code' of Shared Services
This seminar explains the drivers for shared services, the different types of shared service and the laws that affect them. The seminar has been designed for Managers and Members who need to learn the basics and will be working on a shared service in the next year.

The Shared Service Architect's Toolbox
This seminar is for Managers and Members who already have some experience of shared services. The seminar covers a range of practical tools and techniques to help build trust between partners and establish a common vision for the shared service.
